CONTENTS PAGE ANALYSIS-VIBE

I will be analysing the contents page from Vibe magazine first of all the majority of the page is taken up by Kanye west showing his importance. His facial expression is very stern he is also looking into the camera which captures the audience’s attention. The main colour is grey and black. The colour grey has connotations of being emotionless/moody whereas the colour black has connotations of mystery. The red heart being placed on Kanye's chest is the only colour on the page this picture may be suggested that Kanye is heartless which is the title of one of his songs "heartless". It also looks very masculine with his hands in his pockets which appeals to the target audience of males who may like his dress sense as he is also a fashion icon hence the fashion section. The medium shot shows that he is very relaxed but his facial expression creates a tone of seriousness. The overall layout of the contents page looks very neat the writing is on the right and the image on the left. It has very clear headlines and page numbers indicating where you can find things. Also the font writing is simple and easy to read, contents is written in an interesting way so it is all pushed to the right allowing space for Kanye's head  again empathising his importance. The house style of this magazine is the way it is layed out one main image to the left and contents is written uniquely which appears in every vibe magazine. The categories the include are fashion hotel, dollar to donuts,pride in the name of love. Which are all unique sounding names.
