I will be analysing vibes dps, vibe have chosen to use two
images one on each page this balances out the writing so it's not too much to
look at. Lighting to highlight drakes face although he is not looking right
into the camera we can still see his face. The second image is in black and
white creating a mysterious and emotionless effect. The columns are equal on
the second page are equal making everything look neat and in order. The amount
of writing reflects the fact that it is a monthly magazine and the audience
expect to see a lot of detail as they only buy it once a month. The pull quote
is written in a bright red colour making it stand out when you turn the page
it's the first thing that you want to look at and the first thing that you want
to read. As vibe is aimed at young urban followers its does not use complicated
terminology it is slightly formal but not too formal as it may them. It also
talks about worst outfit’s worst hair etc. which would the target audience who
would want to know all about drake’s personal life.

Quite brief although there is some analysis of layout conventions such as use of columns and pull quotes. You need to read the journalism and think about the language, structure and style used in the piece. VC
